My Story and

Who am I?
My name is Vlad. Originally I am from Belarus, a post-soviet country with a dictatorship regime.

Growing up I dreamed to be a rock star, but I was constantly told that music was not a career and I needed to get a "real profession"... I felt suppressed living in the society that lost not only freedom of speech but its identity.

At the age of 21, I moved to the US with $300 in my pocket. After a year of hard work (roofing, basement cleaning, dishwashing) and absence of legal status I was completely lost and almost defeated. I decided to go back to school and finish my business degree. My goal was to study at HAAS School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Right before sending the application, something inside of me kept saying, "this is not your path..." I woke up with this feeling every day for two months until I finally decided to change the direction of my adventure and take a step into the unknown....

The minute I made that decision I felt a huge weight off my shoulders. I felt light and liberated. I knew that I tapped to something that called "inner voice" or "inner guidance". I realized the meaning of the phrase "follow your heart". Since then I devoted my life pursuing my dreams.
Pursuing my dream

I enjoyed my new life in the US; however, I really missed my childhood friends from Belarus. I wanted to pursue my music dream only with them. I managed to bring all my friends to the states. I did this with persuasion, manifestation and my whole heart.

Even though I was fulfilled emotionally, my body was not happy at all. I couldn't keep up with long rehearsals. My lower back, wrists and neck were giving up. I didn't realized that I was neglecting my body for 25 years…
For years I was looking at myself in the mirror and didn't like what I saw there…I wasn't happy with the way I felt about myself and my body. I didn't have energy to handle day to day tasks. I was overweight, always tired, pretty angry, and unfocused.

By the age of 25, I had never exercised. I ate without care or caution. I spent most of my time in front of the computer screen studying and working on an online business. I thought it was normal to have pain in the back, neck and wrists as I got older.

While performing at a music festival, I noticed yoga classes on the schedule. I knew nothing about yoga but I heard that it helped to increase energy levels so I decided to investigate. During the class I was shocked at how difficult it was for me. I was stunned that I was so out of shape. That day, I decided to take control of my life and make changes.
I changed my diet completely and began studying yoga. I lost 35 lb., gained strength and became more flexible. My energy increased and so did my mental acuity.
I fell in love with yoga so much, that while pursuing my music career, I was dedicating more and more time studying yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices.

The band got sponsorship and was signed with a music label. We won several competitions such as Stoneski Battle of the Bands and the ArtRockX. Our EP "It's Kiwi Time" was produced by Dan Shea (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Carlos Santana). In 2015 we were named one of the top 50 bands in the world to make by Emerging bands magazine.

I was named one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs under 30 years old by which is a leading business website in Belarus. The original article was published by several media sources which averaged 4 million unique visitors per month.
I won't deny that playing shows, giving interviews and doing international speaking engagements was a lot of fun. However, while everyone was cheering me with the success, I felt completely out of tune inside. That inner voice was trying to talk to me again. I was realizing that the more I was involving in the music business the less happiness and satisfaction I was experiencing - it was not my real path.

To stay true to myself and truly enjoy life and music, I made a tough decision to quit show business and align myself completely with my life purpose.
The world became even more magical

  • I realized that what I was thinking I wanted wasn't what I needed.
  • I realized that aligning desires of my heart with my mind is true recipe for success and happiness.
